Who we are
Stakeville provides virtual bookkeeping, payroll, and tax support services from Dover, Delaware, United States. This policy covers stakeville.co only. Information you give us as a client under a signed engagement is governed by that engagement letter, not by this page.
Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, request the Books Health Check, or download the bookkeeping checklist, we collect your name, email address, phone number if provided, business name, state, entity type, the services you selected, your approximate transaction volume, your current software, and anything you write in the message field.
Information collected automatically. Standard web server and analytics data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and time of visit.
What we never ask for on this website. We do not request passwords, banking credentials, Social Security numbers, or tax identification numbers through any form on this site. If you receive a message appearing to come from Stakeville asking for those through a web form, it is not from us.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, deliver the material you requested, and keep a record of the exchange. If you become a client, to provide the services you engage us for.
We send marketing email only to people who asked for something or agreed to hear from us. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect service communication about work in progress.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that operate this website and our communications: our hosting provider, our email and CRM provider, our analytics provider, and our scheduling provider. Each processes data on our instructions.
We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies and similar storage for two purposes: keeping the site working as you move around it, and understanding which pages are useful.
Third-party advertising. If advertising is enabled on this site, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to our site or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to two years, then deleted. Client records are retained for as long as the engagement continues and afterwards for the period required by tax and professional record-keeping rules.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we limit access to submitted information to people who need it to respond.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted on the page itself.
