Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 October 2026

What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website. They do not set the terms of any professional engagement with Stakeville. Bookkeeping, payroll, and tax work is governed by a separate signed engagement letter, and where the two differ, the engagement letter controls.

The content here is general information

Everything on this site, including the blog, the FAQ, and the downloadable checklist, is general information about bookkeeping and tax practice. It is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it does not create a client relationship.

Rules vary by state, by entity type, and over time. Before acting on anything you read here, speak to a qualified professional about your own circumstances.

Pricing and availability

Prices shown on this site are current monthly fees for the scope described alongside them, and they may change. The figures are an offer to discuss, not a binding quote. Final scope and price are confirmed in writing after a Books Health Check.

Cleanup and catch-up work is quoted separately as a fixed-scope project.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and code of this site belong to Stakeville. You may read, print, and share pages for your own use. You may not republish substantial portions, or present our material as your own, without written permission.

Client logos and names shown on this site remain the property of those businesses and appear with their permission.

Links to other sites

This site links to other properties we operate, including our tax calculator, and to third-party services such as our scheduling provider. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not control.

Availability

We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw content at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Stakeville is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
